Earl uses the phone change-over excuse to play off the feud thing before anyone on the podcast even mentions that the feud thing involves Earl not returning calls. And doesn't most everyone carry over their cell numbers to their new phones? Why would this even affect one's ability to reach Earl?
I seriously doubt Earl was happy about the footage being posted. But for him to give up the easy-going friend of the people persona would be bad for his rep. So why not pretend that his anger is a figment of Rich's imagination?
I have heard the innocent & surprised Earl act before and it sounds like another Earl B.S. story.

great news everyone. Earl Newton and I have reconcilled and are getting the band back together again! I foolishly had the wrong number (he had to drop his to go to the other company). Thank you so much Susan Z and Biscuit for bringing us both on the show, and in a way, playing matchmaker. You guys rule!
